Case description: Wenchuan No. 1 Middle School (Wenchuan Middle School) in Sichuan Province is affiliated to the People's Government of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. This is the second largest Tibetan area in Sichuan Province and the main Qiang ethnic group settlement area in the country, of which Tibetans account for 52.3%, Qiang accounts for 17.7%, Hui accounts for 3.2%, Han accounts for 26.6%, and other ethnic groups account for 0.2%. Wenchuan No. 1 Middle School was formed by the merger of Weizhou Middle School, Sangping Middle School, and Qipangou Middle School before the 5.12 earthquake.
